The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Little Grey Shoe could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Girisha Pond suddenly started to galop. Mikael Å Linderoth had to struggle to get Girisha Pond to tror again and succeded after 40 m.
