The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Pihtipudas today.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Funky Bouquet could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Tears Of Joy, Gold Monopoly, Hard Sergeant, Clever Factory, Funky Bouquet, Memphis Jug Band, Relaxing Dragon, Handy Paladin. Handy Paladin started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Funky Bouquet sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Gold Monopoly suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 40 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Funky Bouquet followed by Hard Sergeant and Memphis Jug Band. Lane two Clever Factory followed by Relaxing Dragon and Tears Of Joy.




Funky Bouquet was still in the lead after 2000m.



Funky Bouquet were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Handy Paladin won the race after a spectacular finish.
