One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Renzo could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Renzo was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Heavenly Cake sprinted to the front.

The leader got disturbed by something and Tiny Sword took the lead rather easily. Swoop suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 30 m.

Famous Gal looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.

Electric Needle was disturbed and galopped for 10 m. Famous Gal sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Swoop showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Final standings. 1 Ontario Superior, 2 Swift River, 3 Renzo.
