The weather had been good all week and Kalmar was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Sliding Box could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

Clair De Lune saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Sliding Box was disturbed and galoped 50 m. A bird flew just in front of Training Pegasos who started to galop and lost 30 m.

Trainer Express looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Jeannol couldn't come out from behind the leader, Clair De Lune.

Clair De Lune was still in the lead after 1500m. Trainer Express galloped for 20 m.

Clair De Lune were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Clair De Lune kept the speed the whole finish and won before Monneratte Cherry and Sliding Box.
