One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Zuiver Zaakkundige. Falling Wardrobe ended up behind the leader. Sonofmellwood Opal got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Arriella suddenly started to galop. Örjan Kihlström had to struggle to get Arriella to tror again and succeded after 10 m. When the startcar left the field Training Pegasos started to galop and lost 30 m. This is the positions after 500m. Falling Wardrobe, Arriella, Bee El Cosette, Sergeant Ship, Zuiver Zaakkundige, License To Boogie, Sonofmellwood Opal, Running Thought. No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Voyant suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 20 m. License To Boogie looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. License To Boogie sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.
