It had been raining for several days at Vaggeryd but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Stopping Hope took the lead after a very quick start. The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. Happy Breath looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Holy Thought couldn't come out from behind the leader, Stopping Hope. Standings after 1500m . Lane one Stopping Hope followed by Holy Thought and . Lane two Happy Breath followed by Perfect Sparrow and . With only a little left of the race Perfect Sparrow galoped for 20 m. Happy Breath speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch. Stopping Hope made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Happy Breath. Results
