The sun was shining on Haapajärvi today. A perfect day for trotting.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Inkas Delilah was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




Sleeping Ruby quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Inkas Delilah started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Chapin who started to galop and lost 40 m.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Sleeping Ruby today. It continued in the lead.



Inkas Delilah litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Inkas Delilah galopped for 30 m on the homestretch.
