It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Sky found a gap and took the lead.
Skye Girl followed before
Krazy Kat. Veijo Heiskanen wanted a little to much in the start and Skye Girl galoped for 50 m. Lying
Sky was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.
Krazy Kat quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Sky sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.
Staright To You suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 10 m.

Sky was still in the lead after 1500m.
Stretching
Brightness galloped for 40 m.

Sky was still in the lead after 2000m.
Lying
Sky sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.
Veijo Heiskanen tried a little too much on the homestretch and
Skye Girl started to galopp and lost 40 m.
Lying
Sky didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
