The weather had been good all week and Sodankylä was in good shape.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were
Section A.
Le Poire ended up behind the leader.
The Playmaker got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.
Section A was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead. A bird flew just in front of Unknown who started to galop and lost 30 m.
Glory Dynamite looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that
Piece Of Advice couldn't come out from behind the leader,
Section A.
Nothing seemed to be able to stop
Section A today. It continued in the lead.
Section A sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.
Unknown tried a little too much on the homestretch and
Le Poire started to galopp and lost 30 m. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused
Le Poire galop.
Le Poire lost 50 m.
The Playmaker sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
