Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Östersund track was in top-condition.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Front Band could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Baba Kool suddenly started to galop. Magnus O Jonsson had to struggle to get Baba Kool to tror again and succeded after 30 m. When the startcar left the field Godere Il Cavalcare started to galop and lost 20 m.

Caldwell quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

The leader got disturbed by something and Brown Play took the lead rather easily.
