One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Nessla Akakabuto. Barefoot Thought ended up behind the leader. Barefoot Glitter got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Drooling Wave was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Barefoot Glitter, Galant Hoff, Nessla Akakabuto, Covenanter, Seductive Snake, Barefoot Thought, Drooling Wave, Sly Cube.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Barefoot Glitter was still in the lead after 1500m. Covenanter started to gallop after 1500m and Juhani Partanen had to struggle to get it back in trotting.



Covenanter was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Barefoot Glitter were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Barefoot Thought won the race after a spectacular finish.
