The sun was shining on Åby and it was a perfect day for trotting.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Close Gladiator. Moving General ended up behind the leader. Trembling Vanilla got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.




Moving General saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Trembling Vanilla sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Trembling Vanilla followed by Brown Bomb and Moving General. Lane two Close Gladiator followed by Dancing Cake and . Moving General started to gallop after 1500m and Alessandro Gocciadoro had to struggle to get it back in trotting.




Close Gladiator took the lead.



Moving General was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Close Gladiator were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Close Gladiator didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
