The sun was shining on Åby and it was a perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Sudden Electra was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. My Destination started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Xploding Trixi Topp galoped after 1000m and lost 50 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Big Shug followed by Seth and Drooling Wave. Lane two Sudden Electra followed by Cuban Missile Crisis and My Destination.

Big Shug didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.

Big Shug kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

No-one could catch Drooling Wave today who won before Seth and Big Shug.
