It had been raining for several days at Gävle but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Die Laughing could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Ton Nom J. quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Sous-marin took the lead after 1000m. Inkas Close Work didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Sous-marin was still in the lead after 1500m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Blackbird gallopped for 30 m.




Sous-marin kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.



Ton Nom J. was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Die Laughing suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Sous-marin galopped for 30 m on the homestretch.




Die Laughing kept the speed the whole finish and won before Inkas Close Work and Ton Nom J..
