One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Turning Moon could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Malvinas was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m. driver couldn't keep Stopping Moon to trotting so they were disqualified. This is the positions after 500m. Rajas Con Queso, Honourable Blast, Malvinas, Turning Moon, Stopping Moon, , , . Malvinas took the lead after 1000m. Rajas Con Queso didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Malvinas was still in the lead after 1500m. Malvinas kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch. Turning Moon showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Rajas Con Queso sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy. Results
