The sun was shining on Lappeenranta and it was a perfect day for trotting.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Bardet tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Nessla Akakabuto that came steaming ahead.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




Bardet took the lead after 1000m. Shooting Lieutenant didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Bardet today. It continued in the lead.



Bardet kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Nessla Akakabuto made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Bardet.
