One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Sophisticated Sunset could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Bianco Colomba started to galop and lost 20 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Yolo Lucy, Lido Di Venezia, Wild Dancer, Sunday Biscuit, Walking Carneval, Bianco Colomba, Sophisticated Sunset, Grasping Duchess.




Lido Di Venezia took the lead after 1000m. Yolo Lucy didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Yolo Lucy accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.




Yolo Lucy kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.



Yolo Lucy were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Lido Di Venezia made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Bianco Colomba.
