One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. I Am Sure took the lead after a very quick start. The leader couldn't hold the lead and Jacksonville Superior sprinted to the front. No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Bandit accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Jacksonville Superior suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead. Winner of todays race was Jacksonville Superior. Downtown Rod came in second. I Am Sure became third. Results
