The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Solvalla this day. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Knight Of Sunrise could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. driver couldn't keep Shadowless Sword to trotting so they were disqualified. The leader couldn't hold the lead and Boston Hurricane sprinted to the front. Filibert took the lead after 1000m. Knight Of Sunrise didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Knight Of Sunrise accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Unknown galloped for 40 m. Safe Me started to gallop after 1500m and Hans-Åke Johansson had to struggle to get it back in trotting. Knight Of Sunrise didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. King Mcfee litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch. Shadowless Sword galoped way to long and was disqualified. Shadowless Sword showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Knight Of Sunrise never caught up with King Mcfee who won. Filibert came third. Results
