It had been raining for several days at Kausala but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Elegant Runaway took the lead after a very quick start.




Wrong Way saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Sowing Top sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Wrong Way galoped after 1000m and lost 50 m.
