It had been raining for several days at Kouvola but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Girisha Pond took the lead after a very quick start.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




Tempting Heat took the lead after 1000m. Klissen Gut didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Tempting Heat was still in the lead after 1500m.



Tempting Heat kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Winner of todays race was Tempting Heat. Girisha Pond came in second. Klissen Gut became third.
