The weather had been good all week and Arvika was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Gold Superstition could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Beautiful Pixie saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




The leader got disturbed by something and Gold Superstition took the lead rather easily.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Gold Superstition followed by Cosmic Garden and Glittering Viper. Lane two Moonlight Star followed by Celina and Beautiful Pixie. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Beautiful Pixie gallopped for 50 m.




Gold Superstition didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.



Gold Superstition kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Moonlight Star sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
