One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Polkamp could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Gold Ballerina quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Happy Top looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Polkamp couldn't come out from behind the leader, Gold Ballerina.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Gold Ballerina today. It continued in the lead.




Gold Ballerina sat safely in the lead after 2000m.



Gold Ballerina kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Gold Ballerina didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
