One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

The Big Apple took the lead after a very quick start. Linda S Hedström wanted a little to much in the start and Dilwen galoped for 40 m.

Pompeji quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Expensive Witch who started to galop and lost 40 m. A bird flew just in front of Stifling Hollywood who started to galop and lost 50 m.

Pompeji clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Pompeji followed by Pinstripe´s Gilda and The Big Apple. Lane two Dilwen followed by Leich and Maximum Universe.

Pompeji looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Dilwen won the race after a spectacular finish.
