One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Happy Band was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

This is the positions after 500m. Strong Gentleman, Big Valley, Rebel Striker, Magic Atmosphere, Running Cookie, Tampere, Happy Band, Mr Ice.

Magic Atmosphere took the lead after 1000m. Rebel Striker didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Mr Ice saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Magic Atmosphere gallopped for 30 m. Strong Gentleman started to gallop after 1500m and Fredrik B Larsson had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Eddie Opal put some pressure on the leader and could take over.

Rebel Striker speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Final standings. 1 Mr Ice, 2 Rebel Striker, 3 Eddie Opal.
