One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Poseidon. Polished Thrasher ended up behind the leader. Bobby Burns got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Champagne Punch was to tense at the start and galloped for 40 m. When the startcar left the field Napo Leon started to galop and lost 10 m.

Champagne Punch quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Poseidon was disturbed and galoped 10 m. Polished Thrasher was disturbed and galoped 10 m.

Polished Thrasher sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Napo Leon was disturbed and galopped for 20 m. Bobby Burns sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Bobby Burns didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
