Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Eskilstuna track was in top-condition.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Maximum Speed sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Close Bullet sprinted to the front. A bird flew just in front of Oregon Johnny who started to galop and lost 50 m.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Maximum Speed looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Star Champion gallopped for 40 m.

Maximum Speed was still in the lead after 2000m.

With only a little left of the race Oregon Johnny galoped for 50 m. Maximum Speed looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Maximum Speed didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
