One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Swing Vote found a gap and took the lead. Stretching Closet followed before Smiling Whirlwind. When the startcar left the field Stretching Closet started to galop and lost 50 m. When the startcar left the field Swing Vote started to galop and lost 30 m.




Swing Vote was in fine shape and held the lead.




Smiling Whirlwind took the lead after 1000m. Moonlight Nutcracker didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Smiling Whirlwind was still in the lead after 1500m.



Smiling Whirlwind looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Smiling Whirlwind kept the speed the whole finish and won before Stretching Closet and Swing Vote.
