One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Climbing Platinum could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Golden Magpie saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Unknown galloped for 60m and was disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Diamond Flower who started to galop and lost 20 m.




The leader got disturbed by something and Alexander The Great took the lead rather easily.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Alexander The Great followed by Golden Magpie and Climbing Platinum. Lane two Happy Pirate followed by Whatever It Takes and Poetic Joyce.



Climbing Platinum was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Alexander The Great sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Poetic Joyce galopped for 30 m on the homestretch.




Final standings. 1 Happy Pirate, 2 Alexander The Great, 3 Golden Magpie.
