One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Total Darkness took the lead after a very quick start. When the startcar left the field Magic Biscuit started to galop and lost 40 m.
There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.
Total Darkness clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.
Total Darkness was still in the lead after 1500m.
Total Darkness sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.
Smiling Wonder sprinted over the finishline before
Total Darkness and
Magic Biscuit.
