One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Spearhead Rebel took the lead after a very quick start.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.

Waving Gold sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Light Brightness galoped after 1000m and lost 50 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Waving Gold followed by Starstruck Orchid and Perfect Viper. Lane two Spearhead Rebel followed by Light Brightness and .

Waving Gold sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Light Brightness never caught up with Waving Gold who won. Starstruck Orchid came third.
