One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Ruuturouva tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Big Runner that came steaming ahead. Tropical Electra was to tense at the start and galloped for 30 m.

Ginger Beauty saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Big Runner started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Focused Space didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
