One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Godere Il Cavalcare found a gap and took the lead. J'attendrai followed before Criminal Cheater.

This is the positions after 500m. J'attendrai, Just Runner, Godere Il Cavalcare, Frizzante Hof, Viduka Rebel, Criminal Cheater, Rockymeetsrambo, Cerle Mires.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Viduka Rebel galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one J'attendrai followed by Godere Il Cavalcare and Rockymeetsrambo. Lane two Criminal Cheater followed by Forrest Gump On Fire and Cerle Mires. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Godere Il Cavalcare gallopped for 10 m. Sowing Moonlight galloped for 60m and was disqualified.

Criminal Cheater seemed to be in top-form this day and took over the lead.

With only a little left of the race Viduka Rebel galoped for 30 m. Criminal Cheater were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Criminal Cheater didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
