One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Grain tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Lone Boy that came steaming ahead.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




Grain looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Shooting Band couldn't come out from behind the leader, Lone Boy.

Grain kept the speed the whole finish and won before Lone Boy and Shooting Band.
