The sun was shining on Kalmar and it was a perfect day for trotting. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Clever Hyena sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Breathing Ring suddenly started to galop. Jorma Kontio had to struggle to get Breathing Ring to tror again and succeded after 20 m. This is the positions after 500m. Gösta Rori, Old Tiger, Little Apple, Chauffeur Blues, Hautbois, Screaming Blizzard, Nippertippan Opal, Windy Brightness. No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Screaming Blizzard looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Screaming Blizzard was still in the lead after 2000m. Gösta Rori gallopped 20 m after 2000m. Screaming Blizzard sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch. Screaming Blizzard kept the speed the whole finish and won before Breathing Ring and Nippertippan Opal. Results
