The sun was shining on Färjestad and it was a perfect day for trotting.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Rugged Sergeant could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Étoile De Mer, Indochine, Sad Wolf, Zegepraal Tenslotte, Rugged Sergeant, Mille Bleu, Confident Runner, .




Indochine looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Mille Bleu couldn't come out from behind the leader, Étoile De Mer.




Étoile De Mer was still in the lead after 1500m.




Rugged Sergeant suddenly took over the lead.



Rugged Sergeant looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Rugged Sergeant kept the speed the whole finish and won before Indochine and Zegepraal Tenslotte.
