One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Maid In France was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




This is the positions after 500m. Âme Charitable, Galadrielle, Avril, Maid In France, Neon Sugar, Madame Bovary, Modestine, Great Weight. A bird flew just in front of Great Weight who started to galop and lost 10 m.




Galadrielle took the lead after 1000m. Avril didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Great Weight was disturbed and galoped 50 m.




Avril looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Galadrielle gallopped for 20 m.




Avril sat safely in the lead after 2000m. Neon Sugar showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.



Avril sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Madame Bovary never caught up with Avril who won. Maid In France came third.
