One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Great Weight found a gap and took the lead.
Silver Whirlwind followed before
Modestine. Pekka Korpi wanted a little to much in the start and Lonely Wonder galoped for 40 m. Modestine was to tense at the start and galloped for 30 m.
The leader couldn't hold the lead and
Silver Whirlwind sprinted to the front.
Great Weight looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that
Modestine couldn't come out from behind the leader,
Silver Whirlwind.
