The weather had been good all week and Eskilstuna was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Rêve Royal could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Slow Valley sprinted to the front.




Sad Ship took the lead after 1000m. Decisive Star didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Sad Ship followed by Rêve Royal and I Could Care Less. Lane two Decisive Star followed by Wolly Doll and Athletic Universe. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Athletic Universe gallopped for 50 m.



driver couldn't keep Shot Of Love to trotting so they were disqualified. Sad Ship kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Rêve Royal won. Sad Ship came in second. Decisive Star caught third place.
