Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Solvalla track was in top-condition. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Amazing Waist tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Duquesne Whistle that came steaming ahead. The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. Singing Mambo took the lead after 1000m. Duquesne Whistle didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Standings after 1500m . Lane one Singing Mambo followed by Duquesne Whistle and . Lane two Amazing Waist followed by Travelling Star and . Singing Mambo were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line. Singing Mambo galopped for 40 m on the homestretch. Duquesne Whistle sprinted over the finishline before Amazing Waist and Travelling Star. Results
