One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Lukewarm Cherry was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Rowshambow showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping. Hand In Pocket quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. The leader got disturbed by something and Syster Dyster took the lead rather easily. Evita Opal looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Evita Opal kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead. Evita Opal looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch. Lukewarm Cherry sprinted over the finishline before Soldato and Hand In Pocket. Results
