One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Alpine tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Nero Diavolo that came steaming ahead. driver couldn't keep Castiel to trotting so they were disqualified. This is the positions after 500m. Alpine, Nero Diavolo, Bad News, Betterthancheckers, Castiel, , , . No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Standings after 1500m . Lane one Alpine followed by Bad News and Castiel. Lane two Nero Diavolo followed by Betterthancheckers and . Alpine kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead. Betterthancheckers gallopped 10 m after 2000m. Alpine looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch. Final standings. 1 Nero Diavolo, 2 Alpine, 3 Bad News. Results
