One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Heavy Band found a gap and took the lead. Silver Sparrow followed before Gainsbourg Hof.

Laxviks Nyponbuske quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Heavy Band sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Heavy Band followed by Gainsbourg Hof and Caravan Durif. Lane two Mad News followed by Laxviks Nyponbuske and Silver Sparrow. Solid Stone started to gallop after 1500m and Patrik Nygren had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Heavy Band didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.

Modest Darkness was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Gainsbourg Hof was first on the homestretch followed by Heavy Band and Mad News.

Lars-Åke Svärdfeldt tried a little too much on the homestretch and Adventurous Plan started to galopp and lost 40 m.

Gainsbourg Hof didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
