It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Cri Pour Moi could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Cri Pour Moi was still in the lead after 1500m. Cri Pour Moi kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead. Cracker Jack gallopped 30 m after 2000m. Cri Pour Moi looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch. Calming Blizzard made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Cri Pour Moi. Results
