One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





General Maraudeur found a gap and took the lead. Select This Number followed before Oregon Johnny. When the startcar left the field General Maraudeur started to galop and lost 50 m. Jim Oscarsson wanted a little to much in the start and Select This Number galoped for 30 m.




Wicked quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




The leader got disturbed by something and General Maraudeur took the lead rather easily.

Select This Number never caught up with General Maraudeur who won. Duquesne Whistle came third.
