One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Vereinigte Ehre. Carlos Gammeldansk ended up behind the leader. Useless Retaliation got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Sinterklaas sprinted to the front. Som En Vind showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Sinterklaas clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Dirigenten Opal looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.

Dirigenten Opal kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.

Useless Retaliation took the lead after a speedrush.

Several horses were very tired after 3000m. Someone that seemed to have a lot of power left was Dirigenten Opal who took the lead.

Chisholms Second Law kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Chisholms Second Law took over the lead with it's last remaining powers.

Dirigenten Opal won the race after a spectacular finish.
