The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Solvalla this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Vieux Guerrier was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Handy Muscle was to tense at the start and galloped for 40 m.




Calming Movement saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




The leader got disturbed by something and Light Sparkle took the lead rather easily.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Light Sparkle followed by Donkey Kong Pegasos and Handy Muscle. Lane two Calming Movement followed by Vieux Guerrier and Corner.



Light Sparkle kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Light Sparkle didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
