One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Walking Bomb could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

This is the positions after 500m. Mai Sufficiente, Glorious Wish, Benjamin Rori, Walking Bomb, Vraag, Spearhead Rebel, Harderwijk, Purple Diva. Handy Comet started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Glorious Wish sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Harderwijk looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Purple Diva started to gallop after 1500m and Per-Arne Abelin had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Spearhead Rebel took the lead.

Harderwijk was first on the homestretch followed by Spearhead Rebel and Walking Bomb.

Harderwijk didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
