One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Loving Factory could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Speciale Eenheid sprinted to the front.




Maurice Greene took the lead after 1000m. Lying Beauty didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Maurice Greene followed by Useless Impeccability and Pinstripe´s Ajax. Lane two Lying Beauty followed by Waanzinnig and Chisholms Second Law.



Lying Beauty speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Lying Beauty didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
