The weather had been good all week and Gävle was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Lützen Larockma found a gap and took the lead. Shrimpshrinker followed before Snowy Missile. The leader couldn't hold the lead and Powerful Steel sprinted to the front. The leader got disturbed by something and Shrimpshrinker took the lead rather easily. Lützen Larockma looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Lützen Larockma kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch. Lützen Larockma kept the speed the whole finish and won before Snowy Missile and Shrimpshrinker. Results
